Jack Cannon is an award-winning lighting designer with six years of experience in performing arts, including four years of experience in professional theatre. Jack has received international recognition and honors for his development of Artificial Intelligence for lighting control. He is a member of the Illinois Theatre Association, and a member of the International Thespian Society. Jack has won awards for his lighting designs on the licensed productions of Rent and Jasper in Deadland. His recent theatrical work includes the world premieres of God Help Us and Silent Night. Jack's work as a producer on the short-film Why We Protest earned him a nomination at the Burbank International Film Festival in the Films Made From Home category. Jack has held two lighting design residencies with Chicago-land theatre companies. He has led lighting design workshops at the Indiana State Thespian Festival, the Illinois Community Theatre Festival, and the Illinois High School Theatre Festival. Jack has also judged the Thespian Excellence Awards in multiple states. Jack graduated as a junior from Waubonsie Valley High School in June of 2020. He currently attends the California Institute of the Arts studying for a BFA in Design and Production, he is expected to graduate in June of 2024.*July 2020 Bio*
